And so, as we could have predicted, Amazon wrecks Comixology.
King, the company behind Candy Crush, is trying to shut down the lone developer who created CandySwipe, a game which King has essentially copied in its entirety.
You’d have spent $3054.82 in 1991 to buy all the stuff in this ad that you can now do with your phone. That amount is roughly equivalent to about $5100 in 2012 dollars.
Steve Ballmer in 2007 shortly before the iPhone’s release:
Would I trade 96% of the market for 4% of the market? (Laughter.) I want to have products that appeal to everybody.
Now we’ll get a chance to go through this again in phones and music players. There’s no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance.

On text and instant message, punctuation marks have largely been replaced by the line break. I am much more likely to type two separate messages without punctuation:

And, because it seems begrudging, I would never type:
sorry about last night.
next time we can order little caesars.
The final example in the quote above does seem really harsh!

Scoring by market share alone and ignoring profit is like saying that a baseball team won because it had more hits when the other team scored more runs.
Great explanation of why the “Android is winning” rhetoric is misleading if not completely invalid.
A bricked up Daniel Craig gets his 007 on in this frame for frame Lego remake of the opening scene from Casino Royale.
Highly entertaining stop-motion video. It doesn’t hurt that Casino Royale is probably my favorite Bond flick.
Many different sites have been discussing a rumor about a possible iOS 7 delay largely due to an Ive-directed overhaul of the user interface. I haven’t seen anything from the usual people sources that tend to have really good sources. However, this bit from the Bloomberg piece did strike me:
Staff from Apple’s Mac team have also been roped in to help the mobile-software group finish the job
